A conversion of two separate apartment units into two conjoined apartments. A new three-quarter spiral staircase provides a new connection between the two apartment levels. The staircase features 15 uniquely stained wood treads that blend two floor finishes. The owner's extensive collection of art and furniture is incorporated into a complete renovation of existing finishes, fixtures, and equipment that includes a new library, kitchen, two bathrooms, three bedrooms, as well as bespoke furniture and storage systems. The project was designed and completed in collaboration with Spencer McNeil.
